Louisiana School Equipment Company began operations in 1998. The owners, managers and staff have over 75 years of combined experience in the sales, service and installation of school furniture and equipment. We have state wide representation with our main office in Baton Rouge and representatives in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Thibodeaux.
LSEC has two separate divisions, the Furniture & Equipment Division and the Architectural & Contract Division. The Furniture and Equipment Division markets school furniture such as classroom desks, cafeteria tables, computer furniture, etc. The Architectural and Contract Division is responsible for educational equipment such as science laboratories, libraries, gymnasium flooring, lockers, athletic equipment and laminate clad casework.
Our main office consists of a 3,000 square feet office complex with 2,000 square feet of adjacent warehouse space in Baton Rouge. LSEC has an Office Manager, Customer Service Manager, Sales Administrator, Estimator and Project Manager to help serve customers.
We are a licensed Louisiana Contractor (license # 34320). As a company, we hold memberships in several professional organizations. The Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI) is an association that is comprised of school owners, designers, architects, builders, manufacturers and contractors of schools and educational equipment. Additionally, we are members of the National School Supply & Equipment Association (NSSEA), the Associated General Contractors (AGC), as well as the Louisiana Association of School Business Officials (LASBO).
We are active supporters of state and local educational trade shows and conferences. The Louisiana School Food Service (LSFSA), The Louisiana Library Association (LLA), The Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA), The Louisiana Association of Computer Using Educators (LACUE), The Louisiana Music Educators (LME), and the Louisiana Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) are some of the annual conferences that we support with our participation.
In addition to shows at home, LSEC also attends several national shows throughout the year. NSSEA, CEFPI and The American Association of School Administrators (AASA) are a few of the associations whose national conferences we support with our attendance. The resources available to us through these memberships have enabled us to become experts for educational equipment and furnishings. Consulting services that include space analysis and design of science labs, computer labs, auditoriums, cafeterias and other multi-purpose venues are extremely beneficial to our educational end users and the design professionals that serve them.
